On 7th of November 2024, an international workshop organized by LIFE FitforREACH-2 brought together waste management experts, processors, ministries, and industry stakeholders from the Baltic States and Poland.

On 6th of November the second consortium meeting for the LIFE FitforREACH-2 project was held in Riga, Latvia. It brought together 38 participants from partner organizations to review the first year of progress and plan the next steps. 

In June – July, we organized first series of round table meetings in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to introduce the project and its activities with companies, and to exchange viewpoints with national authorities to benefit the project implementation in countries. As an outcome from these discussions here we highlight some topics of relevance for the common project success.
UAB "Art Glacio" is a proactive ice cream producer engaged in the FFR-2 project as a partner company. As usual for food industry, UAB "Art Glacio" uses significant amounts of various detergents and disinfectants to keep equipment clean and ensure hygiene requirements are met.
Ltd. Kinetics Nail Systems is one of the partner companies of the project Fit for Reach 2. Company specializes in the production of nail coatings, offering a wide range of nail polishes, UV-curing nail coatings also known as gel polishes, gels and skin care cosmetics.
Balticfloc Ltd., is a partner company in LIFE FFR-2 producing ecological insulation materials from wastepaper, hemp and textile fibres. Company is dealing with wastepaper recycling, manufacturing a wide array of recycled products in Latvia.
AS Paldiski Tsingipada (Zincpot), the partner company of the Life FitforREACH2 project, is one of the largest providers of hot dip galvanizing (or batch galvanizing) service in the Baltics and Scandinavia.

Latvian furniture producer company KVIST SIA participates in the LIFE Fit for REACH-2 project as a project partner with an aim to improve their environmental performance and switch to safer chemical alternatives in production.
